For best results, record from a side angle with your phone held horizontally. Try to keep the entire stroke visible in frame. Natural lighting works best, but pool lighting is usually sufficient. Aim for at least 10-15 seconds of continuous swimming.
Wake AI currently supports freestyle (front crawl) analysis with full stroke breakdown. Backstroke and breaststroke analysis are in development and will be available soon. Butterfly support is planned for a future release.
You can record videos offline, but video analysis requires an internet connection since our AI models run on cloud servers. Once analyzed, your results are cached locally and can be viewed offline.
Most videos are analyzed within 2-5 minutes, depending on length and complexity. You'll receive a notification when your analysis is ready. Longer videos or busy periods may take slightly longer.
Yes. All videos are encrypted in transit and at rest. We never share your videos with third parties. You can delete your videos at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we protect your data.
Only if you explicitly share them. When uploading a video, you can choose to share it with specific users (like your coach). Videos are private by default. Coaches on the Coach plan can view videos shared with them by their swimmers.
You can cancel anytime from Settings > Subscription in the app. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. Your analyzed videos will remain accessible for 30 days after cancellation.
Wake AI is currently available for iPhone (iOS 15+). Android support is in development. Any iPhone from iPhone 8 and newer will work. For best video quality, we recommend iPhone 11 or newer.
